So I'm new to this FSJ thing and have a few Questions about what tranny I may have in my recently acquired wagoneer. It is a 1963 with the Tornado I-6 and an automatic....is the auto a Borg-Warner or a TH400? My son and I are working on this as a project for his first vehicle but can't find many gritty specs on the drivetrain. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers!

Yes, if the transmission is stock it would be a TH400.

Thanks Brent! I was hoping it was the TH400. I understand that it has the Dana 21 T-case (single speed)? What likely are the diffs? Dana 44? Dana 27?Comment

The transfer case should be a Dana 20.
The diffs, on the early trucks it is hard to say, this should help you identify them:
Where it says model number should have the stamp of what axles you have.Comment
