Power Steering Belt

Does the Power Steering require two belts? Mine squeels and I have adjusted the slack in the belt before and it went away. It is back now and I cant get it to stop. I have a two groove pulley on the pump and was wondering if I needed another belt.

no, they run one belt. Check the alignment of the belt through the pulleys.

If it is an old belt, that might be your problem.

Yeah, check to see if the belt is glazed. If so, that could easily be your problem.

Sorry I havent updated this post. I have had two computers crash on me and havent had time to get them running again. Thanks for the help on this. I changed the belt and the noise stopped. Now on to the cross over steering install.
