how ro remove steering wheel ?

Hi,
I want to replace the plastic part for the indicator with the wires on it, have a new one but need to remove steering wheel and more for that.
anyone done that and can it be done without the use of special tools ?

yep, you need a steering wheel puller (you can rent them from most any autoparts store). There is also a spring that you need to be careful with, as it has a lot of pressure behind it (ie: don't put your face directly in front of it when removing).

our EU autostores do not have pullers for US cars.But i made one for the steering wheel and a second one to push the ring in so i could release the clip, yes spring had big tension but my pusher worked very well and safe.So plastic indicator ring replaced, another issue fixed.
