Installation is pretty easy.
While you are in there, you might want to consider replacing everything you can, so as to only do it once. Other items to consider replacing at this time are:
- First, you have to remove the tailgate glass (some have done it without removing the glass, but can actually take longer).
- remove the carpet over the tailgate, including the metal strips
- remove the access cover
- pry off the round metal clips holding the lifter channel to the regulator arms
- slide the glass and lifter channel out of the tailgate (you might need to remove the inner or outer tailgate wipe to have more room)
- use a large phillips head screwdriver and remove the two screws on each side of the tailgate that hold the side channels in place
- remove the existing slide channels
- installation is the reverse of removal

- Inner / Outer tailgate wipes
- tailgate glass lifter channel
- lifter channel seal
- lifter channel retainer clips
- safety switch (if needed)
