tough door handle

Hey guys,
I bought at 89 wag last year, just trying to fix a little at a time. My interior door handles in the front are hard to pull to open the doors. The wife needs two hands to open the door. any ideas?

check all linkage first to see if there is any binding. next, lubricate all joints per the factory manual, and check the adjustment on the catch at the jamb. Is it also hard to pull up when the door is already open?
