Aftermarket valve covers

I bought a set of aftermarket Edelbrock valve covers for my AMC 360, and didn't know whether or not I need to drill out vent holes. This would be difficult because the covers have raised fins running the length of the cover. Are the holes necessary? Please help

No, on the AMC engines, they aren't necessary since the oil fill tube acts as the vent and the fill for the oil.
