My interior fan only works in high (heat and a/c both). I've been told by a friend of mine to replace the blower motor resistor but I cant find one anywhere for a 1984 GDub! Advanced claimed to have one, bought it and brought it home, but it wasnt even close to being correct. Ideas anyone?

if only on high, then could be the resistor (backordered) or the fan motor itself. -
Any idea when they will be back in stock? I will probably end up replacing the fan motor as well when the time comes since they are relatively cheap and easy to install.Comment

Usually the resistor is in the blower housing. The resistor should look like a coil of wire. If the resistor(s) are not broke the switch may be the problem.Comment

I have pulled all of the resistors and they are all completely intact. It is both the A/C and Heat switches that only work on high so I imagine at some point in the system there must be a common component?Comment
