  • replacement fenders

    Hi,
I am considering replacing my front fenders on my '90 Grandwagoneer with the wide-track fenders. Will there be a conflict to the shape/fit? I like the stock flare look better than the Bushwhackers. Any help would be great!
    Thanks,
    Gabe

They should bolt up and work fine.

the only issue you'll have is on the back. you will have to get some good condition rear flares and modify / graft them on, and cut out underneath them. There are several people who have done it.

Your front bumper will be too short to go around the lower corner sections of your new WT flares. A WT bumper is about 8" wider than your NT SJ bumper. WT one piece bumpers were only used on model 17 and J trucks and as such are becoming tough to find. By converting to a front 3 pc bumper you will have the ability to extend the ends to meet the wider fenders.
I realize this thread is old, but info may help others.
