  • Passenger drop NP241 to 4L60e?

Does anyone know if an older, passenger drop 241 will bolt up to a newer 4L60e trans?

Yes... with the correct output shaft but GM is pretty standard in the later years so it should.

GM Passenger drop 241's are very hard to come by...

Thanks Brent. If I can't find a 241, would a 208 be a decent compromise and would it bolt to the 4L60?

        Should with the right adaptor.

Yes, a 208 isn't quite as strong as a 241 but it is a similar case. I have a NP208 in my Cherokee, it has held up just fine.

also, make sure you get the right adapter. There are I believe 3, 1 for the 208 and two different types for the 241.
