what is the best t-case?

I have a 79 j10 am looking at putting in a 700r4 what is the best manual t-case that will bolt up or come on them? Do mostly trail some hard core off road i.e.. Ouray to Silverton type trips live in high elevation Colorado. have pass. side front diff. and slightly off center pass. side rear diff. any help would be nice and thanks for the previous info already given.

The BEST would probably be an Atlas.

A good case would be the NP241 (but really hard to find with a passenger side drop). I have a 700R4 in mine with a NP208 and it works great. The NP208 is the predecessor to the NP241, not quite as strong but pretty good.

A Dana 300 might be a decent choice but their downfall in a pickup is when you get the rear end hopping it tends to grenade the transfer case.

thanks for the info sounds like the 700r4 and np208 come mated in 88 k5's pass drop and I don't need anymore grenades
