I am going to order the PT kit for my QT case and read that using regular ATF works fine for the fluid? Does the ATF also work in the gear reduction case?

Will the Vaccum shifter in the glove box be responsible for shifting from 2wd to 4wd now? Of course I will have to lock out the hubs also!

Yes, regular ATF for the whole transfer case is what you need.

The vacuum shifter will make it go from 2wd to 4wd and your floor lever will be responsible for low range.

contorl diaphragm

I found a guy who has a few control diaphragms that are new. He has had them for a long time. It seems that these are very hard to come by! He wants 120 for each. How much did they used to go for?
