I have a 78 Cherokee with the TH400 and QT in it. I want to drop a 700 r4 with a D-20tc, Ryan has given me a lot of input. My main goal is to achieve Over Drive. Ryan recommended an D-300 (gear driven)or a NP-208 (GM). I found an adapter for the D-300 to the 700. Does anyone have any suggestions or other ideas. I Have d-44 eight lug axles to off my J-20. So the front axle already has lockouts and 4.10 gears. I do not mind spending the money, just want it done right.
