BJ’s Off-Road Aluminum Fan Shroud and Fan Installation Instructions

Your fan and shroud assembly comes partially assembled before shipping.

    1. 1. Ensure the airflow direction is correct (should be set up as a puller motor with the fan on the engine-side of the radiator). If correct, tighten the bolts that hold the fan to the shroud. Use caution not to over-tighten the bolts.

    2. Using the supplied hardware, bolt the fan shroud to your BJ’s Off-Road Crossflow Radiator, be sure to orient the wiring where you are going to want it.

    Wiring:

On the fan, you will see 3 wires: Black, Brown and Gray.

Single Speed Controller Special Instructions: (16749 and 16759):

    1. Wire the Gray and Brown wires together to the positive on the single speed controller (see controller instructions). This will make the fan come on high speed and only high speed. Warning: If you do not wire these wires together, the fan will only work on low speed and your vehicle may overheat!

    2. Follow the remainder of the instructions for the controller.

Dual Speed Controller Instructions (16788 and 16789): (available Spring 2010)

    1. Follow the instructions that came with the controller, do not wire the gray and brown wires together.
