89 GW Rear window issues of course

I am having issues with my rear window in my woody. It is currently stuck about 2/3 of the way up. I can't get the window to function with the rear key or the stock switch on the console. Any help on where to start first would be a great help. Thank you in advance.

first thing to check is the safety switch on the driver side of the tailgate. If the gate is stuck in the half-way position, you can remove the carpet and access panel from inside, then find the two large brown wires that go to the switch, and jumper them. If it works, then the safety switch is bad. If it doesn't work, then you have wiring issues / switch issues elsewhere

Once again thank you Ryan!!!!! By passing the switch worked wonderfully. Now I can dry out the back of my jeep and keep the rain and mud out. Thank you once again.
