I have a rear wide track axle I swapped into my 88 Grand Wagoneer that I believe is from an 83 J10. Would the side gear kit listed on the axle page (between #25 and #27) be everything that I would need to go inside the open carrier (spider gears, differential side gears, thrust washers, shaft, etc)? What would the spline count be, 30? When did the spline count change if at all?
My dealer has my vehicle because the rear axle was making a noise and the diagnosis is worn spider gears. They want about $600 for parts alone.
